Privacy
What Alive stores, where, and how to remove it. Written to match what the app actually does.
No account needed
You can use every breathing session without signing up. Your progress (sessions, streak, challenge days, Control Pause scores, calm check-ins and settings) is saved in your browser on this device.
Clearing your browser data, or Settings > Reset all progress, removes it.
If you sign in
Signing in (with Google or an email link) saves the same progress to your account so it follows you across devices. We store your email address to sign you in, and your breathing progress. Nothing else.
To stop sign-in emails being abused, we briefly keep a record of when sign-in links were sent to an address.
Daily reminders
Email reminders are only sent after you confirm them from the link we email you. We store your address, your chosen time and time zone, and your streak and challenge day so the reminder can say something useful. Every reminder has a one-tap unsubscribe link.
Phone notifications are optional. If you turn them on, your browser gives us an anonymous delivery address for its notification service, which we store with your reminder time.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you.
If the app crashes, your browser sends us the error message and the page address (no email or progress) so we can fix it.
Who processes data for us
Supabase stores accounts, synced progress and reminder settings. Resend sends emails. Vercel hosts the app. We don't sell or share your data for advertising.
Removing your data
Unsubscribe from any reminder email, or turn reminders off in Settings. Reset all progress in Settings clears this device. To delete your account, open Settings and tap Delete my account: it erases your progress, history, reminders and notification sign-ups from Alive at once. Your email stays only as a sign-in record; to remove that too, email hello@alivebreathing.com from that address.
Not medical advice
Alive is for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have a health condition, check with your doctor before breath-hold or energising methods, and stop if you feel unwell.
